Led by Expertise, Driven by Care
Dr. Nilay Patel was born and raised in Southwest Michigan and earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Michigan. Following dental school, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Birmingham VA Medical Center, where he trained alongside experienced clinicians across multiple disciplines. That foundation gave him the skills to handle a wide range of dental needs — from routine preventive care to complex restorative and implant treatment — all under one roof.
Dr. Nilay has pursued extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry, dental implants, and comprehensive treatment planning. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of modern dental practice.
What sets Dr. Nilay apart is his approach to the patient relationship. He takes the time to listen, explain, and involve patients in every step of their treatment. No rushed appointments. No confusing jargon. No pressure. His goal is for every patient to leave with a clear understanding of their oral health and confidence in the care they received. Outside the office, Dr. Nilay stays active through hiking, rock climbing, traveling, and exploring new foods — the same curiosity and energy he brings into the practice every day.
